CUSP recently partnered with the US Forest Service to remove an abandoned dam at the mouth of Eleven Mile Canyon and restore this portion of the river to its natural state, improving water quality and aquatic habitat. The restoration phase of the project included ADA compliant improvements to parking, trails, facilities and fishing access. Now, CUSP is holding an open call for volunteers to install picnicking, access and parking amenities to complete the recreation phase of the project. Through these improvements, we hope to encourage appreciation of public lands and inspiration toward long-term stewardship.  To register use CUSP’s Volunteer Intake form:  https://volunteer.cusp.ws/?page_id=103    or call our office 719-748-0033      Please note – due to safety concerns we cannot accept anyone under 16 years of age to work this project.
